Silhouette Studio Tutorial - Make Print and Cut Magnets
Have you wondered how you can make some magnets with your Silhouette Cameo? I know I was feeling a bit overwhelmed as I have NEVER tried this before! But check out these cute photo stickers I just made!
Today I am going to walk through how to make some alphabet magnets with your Cameo machine. This is a VERY simple tutorial and wasn't overwhelming after I troubleshot my darn printer. It shouldn't be for you either!
Here's what you will need:
- A printer, preferably inkjet, but whatever will do
- Photos or clipart to use
- Magnet Sheets

I purchased the Avery Printable Magnetic sheets and was very happy with them. You can purchase them below.
For the design I used these cute alphabet blocks I purchased. You can use anything really.
Step 1: Layout your Design
The first thing you're going to want to do is lay out your design. Make sure you have your registration marks on as well by turning them on and ensure you are also showing your cutting mat. You'll need that as well. Since the sheets are 8.5" x 11" set your page to that size so you know what your print area looks like.
Se registration marks
Ensure page layout is appropriate
That should be what your final product looks like.
Step 2: Print your Design
Print your design by going to File -> Print and then allow it a few minutes to dry. You should get something like this
Step 3: Cut Settings
Click on send and select Magnet Paper, Printable. Ensure all of your design has cutting edges around it.
Click SEND and let the Silhouette do the work for you!
You should have clean smooth magnets to use wherever!
My kids will probably FLIP when they see these on their magnetic easel when they get home from school.
